How Much Vitamin D Should We take Daily? Dr. Mercola, Oct 10, 2009

As I said many times, if you value your long-term health, have your doctor test for the Vitamin D metabolite
25-Hydroxy-Vitamin D. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/10/10/Vitamin-D-Experts-Reveal-the-Truth.aspx and get it up to 60 ng/ml. If you are low, consider taking large doses of 50,000 IU of Vitamin D3 per week either daily tablets or 7,000 IU daily with meals or you might consider injections. It will take at least three months to get to the normal range which Dr. Mercola feels is too low at the low end because it does not permit storage of vitamin D in your tissues.

The latest several peer reviewed scientific publications show that vitamin D attacks cancer and improves your immune system to normal so autoimmune diseases are diminished so your T-Cells won't attack normal tissue and also seems to prevent rejection of transplanted organs which is something I worried about when I increased my vitamin D intake gradually. Tests indicate my transplant is as good as it was when I had my transplant in 1998!

The health bill passed by one vote by allowing a bill by a Democratic Catholic anti-abortionist Bart Stupak of Michigan which can stop healthcare corporations from not paying for any abortions for all corporate healthcare. It was actually written by Pennsylvania Joe Pike, a Republican anti-abortionist. Stupak is not the brightest bulb in congress, but he leans liberal on other issues. He even seems to support Healthcare based on his latest sub-committee hearing last week.
I thought it was a huge mistake to recruit so many conservative Democrats for the House in 2006-2008. Liberals can win in the South by having a reputation for playing it straight no matter if they lean liberal.

How Much Vitamin D Should We take Daily? Dr. Mercola, Oct 10, 2009, On November 3 at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, noted doctors Cedric Garland and Tracey O'Connor are running a seminar on how vitamin D can be used to prevent breast cancer -- as well as infectious diseases, type 1 diabetes, hypertension, colon cancer, and falls in the elderly.
Presenters will include some of the best known vitamin D researchers/practitioners, such as Robert P. Heaney, Reinhold Vieth, John White and Susan Whiting.
It is estimated that 25 to 50 percent of any healthcare budget could be saved with adequate vitamin D serum levels
The conference will look at the current research and practice with vitamin D to enable everyone to take action today based on what's known to solve the deficiency epidemic, and to start the prevention of many diseases.
